Ron Fowler put up a blurb on the Twist & Shout Balloon Convention FaceBook page about me making pumps again. This is part of the conversation which followed:
Marty Pants:
I have one and I have owned every other pump that’s ever been on the market — these are the best.
Amber Weiand:
Marty Pants how is the weight? Are they easy to carry/lug around (I use a Mac light for reference).
Can you use the 4inch with 260s? I'm pumping up more 350s these days as I use them for my dogs and a pump that got them in one swoop sounds sooooo lovely.
Also Ron Fowler since you'll be carrying them, will you design a case/strap for them?
Richard Hughson:
Amber Weiand, in order to quickly inflate the larger balloons the 4" pump has a larger nozzle, designed to move lots of air. A smaller nozzle can be installed but inflating a 260 would require a pretty hard push on a 4" pump.
Marty Pants:
Amber Weiand they are made of heavy duty PVC so definitely a bit heavier than the Mac Light or Filbert if you’re familiar with either of those.
But I carry it around everywhere and it’s not that heavy to become a noticeable issue.
Marty Pants:
Amber Weiand the one thing I will say is that they are a tough pump.
You won’t worry about breaking it, or cracking if it toppled over.
Rupert Appleyard:
My air craft pump has been all over the world with me. I love it so much! It is 9 years old, has created countless balloon sculptures and, to be frank, I wouldn't be without it.
Tim Bourke:
I have owned two of the original AirCraft Balloon Pumps (wood bases)for 16 years or more. Never had an issue. Always reliable!!! Won’t do a balloon job or show without them!!
Walt Crum:
I have one of the original prototypes of the Air Craft Pumps, and it still works great!
Andrew Weaver:
My aircraft pump is to me what a Martin guitar is to a musician. Top shelf and can take a beating. So glad I got one ages ago.
